Rev. [C]ΦPAΓIC / [CЄ]RACT૪ / [M]IXAHΛ AV/TH Δ૪KA ('Seal of the sebastos Michael Doukas') in four lines, decorations above and below. Wassiliou-Seibt, Corpus 2840. Some flatness and the flan somewhat bent, otherwise, good very fine.


This seal type may well belong to Michael Doukas, sebastos and protostrator, brother-in-law of the emperor, Alexios I Komnenos.
